For the past thirty years, Mr. Rulis’s trial practice has focused on civil litigation.   His experience and commitment to detailed preparation combined with strong advocacy skills, has given his clients a decided edge in the courtroom.  His Martindale-Hubbell rating (legal knowledge, analytical capabilities, judgment, communication ability and legal experience) is AV (Preeminent) with the highest possible rating (5.0 out of 5.0).  His trial skills have been recognized by his peers with his induction as a Fellow in the prestigious Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County.  There are over 7,000 licensed attorneys in Allegheny County, however Academy membership is limited to a total of only 250 of the county’s top trial lawyers.  He has been selected as a Special Master for the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.  As a Special Master, he often acts as a sitting trial judge in civil jury trials.  Mr. Rulis has been named a "Pennsylvania Super Lawyer" by Super Lawyers magazine. This is a distinction awarded to only the top 5% of lawyers in Pennsylvania.  Mr. Rulis has been a subject of biographical reference in Marquis’ “Who’s Who in American Law.”
