Barbara C. Karkut, Esquire

Ms. Karkut is an associate attorney in the R&B Philadelphia office.  She is a graduate of Marywood College in Scranton, Pennsylvania where she obtained a B.A., Magna Cum Laude.  Ms. Karkut earned her J.D. degree at Villanova University School of Law in 1986.  Her prior experience includes working for (10) years as in- house counsel for a prominent casualty and workers’ compensation carrier. Her experience includes litigating cases involving insurance coverage, premises liability, auto liability, strict liability, construction litigation and defective home construction.  Following her work as staff counsel, she worked in private practice with several Philadelphia firms handling both insurance defense liability cases and workers’ compensation matters.  She has been a State and Federal Court Arbitrator. Currently, Ms. Karkut concentrates her practice in the area of workers’ compensation defense.  She is originally from the Scranton -Wilkes-Barre area but currently resides in Moorestown, New Jersey with her husband and daughter. She enjoys yoga, reading and bike riding in her spare time.
